Pedal, paddle and taste your way around the Ardnamurchan Peninsula on this three-day foodie adventure. Dine at local award-winning restaurants, cycle around this breath-taking peninsula, meet local growers and gardeners, journey in canoes to secluded beaches on vast lochs - this is the place for slow living

Your journey begins at Ardtornish estate, located in the southerly corner of the beautiful Morvern peninsula. Spend the night in a grand Victorian apartment or traditional cosy cottage and dine at the award-winning Whitehouse Restaurant to sample the very best of local and seasonal produce. After a restful night, breakfast on a well-stocked hamper of local produce to fuel a day of pedaling.

Leaving from Ardtornish Estate, the first day’s adventure will be pedal powered. Aspect 40 Scott bikes will be ready and waiting courtesy of Sunart Cycles. Self- guided and armed with a map, cycle through some of the most breath-taking scenery, stopping to explore heather-clad hills or taking a bracing dip in the waters of remote lochs or rivers. A crafted feast of artisan bread, local cheese, smoked salmon, fresh hand-picked berries or similar will be companions for the day.

After a day of exploring by bike, cosy up in Sunart Campsite’s bespoke cedar cabins which are fully insulated with underfloor heating. Head along the road to dine at the award winning Kilcamb lodge where they take time to track down the best local produce.

The second day’s adventure starts with a paddle across the silken waters of one of the many tidal or freshwater lochs on the peninsula. Search beaches and rocky outcrops, and spot otters and seals under the experienced leadership of Otter Adventures’ qualified guide.

Stop off for lunch on a remote beach or secluded island. Taste the homemade breads and local produce prepared locally by the Ariundle Centre, Rest, share stories and unwind while the coffee is brewed on a wood burning stove. The pace of everyday life is much slower and more relaxed when out in the wild. Embrace it!

End your active day on the water at the delightful Ardshealach Lodge to taste real home-grown dishes and spend the night in of its luxury bedrooms. Depending upon availability, you may be staying in the friendly Strontian Hotel for a wee dram with the locals and a good night’s sleep upstairs.
